The Parenting Oasis
The Parenting Oasis is a nonprofit human service agency dedicated to strengthening, educating and supporting parents in the Twin Cities, from conception through the toddler years by providing community space, educational programs, and resources. The Parenting Oasis is located just South of the Powderhron Park Neigborhood at 3901 Chicago Avenue South (park in the lot behind the church). It is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 10-3 and Saturdays 10-2 for food, play and great conversations. They can also be reached at 612-205-7050.

Go City Kids is an all-inclusive online resource for parents. It is a Nationwide site, but Minneapolis has its own pages. It is especially useful for finding things to do with the kids.

Early Childhood Family Education
ECFE Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) is a program for all Minnesota families with children between the ages of birth to kindergarten entrance. The program is offered through Minnesota public schools. ECFE is based on the idea that the family provides a child’s first and most significant learning environment and parents are a child’s first and most important teachers. There are ECFE locations throughout mineapolis and one location in Powderhorn Park.
