Let’s work together to advocate for overall community health. Here are a few opportunities:
Stay Up To Date
Review the results of PPNA’s 2020 Community Survey here.
Head to our Youtube Channel to watch our archive of advocacy-related meetings and conversations.
Participate in the 2021 Election Make Homes Happen Candidate Forums. Forums include City Council and Mayoral Candidates. They focus on housing issues. See the event series here.
Take a current survey
Check back periodically for current surveys surrounding key community topics.
Check out a brief video from a PPNA staff, board member, or community partner that provides a few details about a pending or existing policy related to one or more areas of community health.
Powderhorn Policy Tracker
Check out a new tool for community members to track potential policy and budget allocations that would impact the neighborhood.
PPNA continues to contribute to coalition efforts for issues related to public safety, housing, and development. Here are a few coalition updates:
REACHTwinCities.org was recently launched through our partnership with the Lake Street Recovery Leadership Group. REACH is a platform for people to find information on the people, places, and projects focused on Racial Equity and Community health in communities affected by the uprisings.
The Housing Justice League recently launched its Anti-Displacement Agenda, which you can find and sign onto here.
The South Minneapolis Public Safety Coalition recently held a public meeting to answer the question “are we prepared for the summer?” Find the recap of that conversation and additional information on our blog.
Our Equity in Place Partners are working to ensure that the end of an eviction moratorium doesn’t result in a mass wave of evictions. We’re demanding that no evictions happen until all eligible Minnesotans receive rental assistance. Learn more and sign on in support here.
