HOLISTIC SAFETY

WHAT WE'RE DOING

PPNA’s work with the South Minneapolis Public Safety Coalition (SMPSC) centers on understanding and organizing around community-led outreach and policies and practices that focus on determent, accountability and restoration.

WHY

Public and personal safety is key to fostering strong communities. Recognizing that numerous factors contribute to the nature and prevalence of illegal or illicit activity, PPNA values working with a wide array of community partners to achieve positive and lasting outcomes.

HOUSING JUSTICE

WHAT WE'RE DOING

Affordable and livable housing for renters and homeowners is critical to building strong, healthy, and resilient neighborhoods. This is central to PPNA’s participation in Minneapolis Renters’ Coalition (MRC) and advocacy for renters' rights city-wide

WHY

Inequities in affordable and livable housing among marginalized and low to moderate income communities has resulted in hardships like 2.0% rental vacancy rates, the lowest in a decade, and steep rent increases.

IMPACT

$24,000
