RENTER SUPPORT FUND

The Renter Support Fund seeks to provide some relief to cost-burdened Minneapolis renters through low-barrier cash assistance.

The July application will open at 12 PM on Monday, June 3rd.

Application closes at 12 PM on Monday, June 10th.

Starting in January 2024, selected renters can receive up to $600.

Renters are selected through a randomized lottery process. Due to high demand and limited funds, the odds of being selected are 1.8%.

Will you help us raise $50,000 in 2024 and support twice as many renters?

KEY PROGRAM STATS

The Renter Support Fund seeks to provide some relief to cost-burdened Minneapolis renters through low-barrier cash assistance. Since its inception in 2019, the Renter Support Fund has provided unrestricted cash grants to hundreds of Minneapolis renter households.  In 2023, demand for Renter Support Fund stipends remained high, 12% more than in 2022 and 186% more than 2021. At the same time, our available funding enabled us to support only 1.3% of applicants on average.

Check out some key numbers from 2023. Stay tuned for our full 2023 Program Report in early 2024.

In the meantime, check out our 2022 Annual Program Report.
