Join us as a Volunteer Canvasser
This application is closed as of Monday, August 3rd, 2020.
Volunteer Canvassers (VCs) will partner with Powderhorn Park Neighborhood Association (PPNA) to collect input from community members in a variety of ways. This will include door knocking residences, intercepts at bus stops, outreach at events, and tabling at area businesses and organizations. VCs will use a suite of surveys and questions provided by PPNA related to community safety, policing, equitable development, and housing justice. Each VC will temporarily receive tools to administer all surveys and capture responses to other questions and general feedback from persons they engage.
VCs will conduct insight collection independently and alongside another VC on varying occasions. All VCs will be asked to complete four separate instances of community input collection that last four hours each. VCs will attend at least one mandatory training session, outreach debrief meeting, and adhere to all collection methodology and engagement procedures established by PPNA. Although these are volunteer roles, each VC will receive $16.50 for each hour completed toward this work. Each VC has the opportunity to receive a total stipend of $264 for this support.
