The 24th Annual MLK Celebration is dedicated to every person, organization, group, business, and elected and appointed leaders who believe in, and will begin or continue to champion equal rights in voting for everyone in these United States.

This year members of Dr. King’s immediate family have called on Biden and the Senate to pass the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, and ensure the filibuster doesn't stand in the way.  They’ve asked that in lieu of traditional celebrations of Rev. Dr. King Jr. Day, communities across the nation use that time to advocate for equal access to voting for all.

PPNA believes it imperative to gather on this day and declare our support and agreement with this stance.   You’ll notice voting equity education and advocacy opportunities worked into the program on Monday, January 17th.  You can also explore resources related to advocating for voting rights here.

We will center the 93 years that Dr. King's life and legacy continue to create lasting ripples around the globe through our 93 Strong campaign. Stay tuned to connect with organizations and small businesses doing amazing work in the community!
