Public Comment: Draft Opportunity to Purchase Policy

Updated: Mar 3

Comments on the proposed ordinance are due Friday, January 7.

City staff have drafted a Tenant Opportunity to Purchase policy and are seeking community input. Submit your comments on the proposed ordinance by Friday, January 7.

PPNA supports TOPA because it can prevent displacement, empower renters, and advance community ownership. We want to see a strong TOPA policy that applies to all buildings - including all 1-4 unit buildings - and allows tenants to sell their rights. While TOPA isn't a silver bullet, we see it as an important tool for advancing housing justice in our community.
