Event Details

Our 2021 MLK celebration will again be one of many events that serve to remember the transformative impact of his leadership on the world. It’s also dedicated to the next generation of youth dreamers, change-makers, activists, influencers, and wanderers who are or will make our communities stronger, healthier, more inclusive, and just.

On Monday, January 18th, the Powderhorn Park Neighborhood Association will host a 2-hour artist showcase featuring storytellers, along with visual and performing artists who offer an original piece of work that embodies the spirit of MLK’s legacy.

We will center the 92 years that MLK’s life and legacy continue to create lasting ripples around the globe through our 92 Strong campaign. We aim to highlight at least 92 organizations committed to one or more principles found in his work, and we also aim to attract participation from at least one student, administrator, or parent connected to one of 92 schools from around the Twin Cities metro.

As always, this is a family-friendly affair and free to all!
