Partner With PPNA
PPNA recognizes and greatly values the numerous neighbors, coalitions, groups, and organizations working in the community. Whether folks are creating space, organizing a program, executing an event, or founding a new community garden, these efforts bring vitality and richness to the neighborhood.
With the emergence of the Partnership Engagement Fund through the City of Minneapolis the association has seen an increase in the number of requests it receives for partnerships of varying kinds. In an effort to be of assistance to those inquiring, please note some of the following ways we approach partnerships:
ELIGIBILITY
To partner with PPNA on a grant, we give preference to groups that have an existing fiscal agent or have their own 501(c)(3) status.
Your program, event or project must be accessible to members of PPNA (folks who live, work, or own property in Powderhorn Park Neighborhood).
PROCESS & TIMELINE
Generally unfolds over 5 months
Complete the form below to outline your idea and share your organization’s information with the PPNA team.
A staff member will contact you within five business days to set up a virtual meeting and discuss the project details and role you see PPNA playing in the project. Your proposal response and meeting will help the staff determine if your request should advance through the partnership determination process.
The partnership request will move forward to the PPNA Board of Directors for approval within 60 days of staff recommendation.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will be sent to your organization for signatures within 30 days of Board approval.
The partnership moves into action to complete the project, event or initiative proposed!
If you’re interested in pursuing Fiscal Agency with PPNA please see the details and complete the application linked here. Please note that the association bases its ability to become a fiscal sponsor on its current capacity at the time of a request.
