3 Tools To Support 2021 Advocacy

We won't wax poetic about 2020, but many of the events of the past year brought to light, or further illuminated, injustices in our communities and ignited a passion for change. Here's a quick guide highlighting some tools PPNA has produced for anyone who's looking to deepen their involvement with local advocacy.

Powderhorn Policy Tracker: The Powderhorn Policy Tracker provides an online platform where community members can see policies that are building community support, in the research phase, currently being drafted, or available for public comment. The Powderhorn Policy Tracker focuses mostly on City and County efforts, but State and Federal government work may also be included. Access the Tracker here.

Southside Summit: The Southside Summit is a conference for community leaders looking for insight, inspiration, and direct action that can further key community issues. The first annual Summit brought together over XX participants in Autumn of 2020. We hope you'll join us in 2021, but in the meantime, you can explore workshop recaps including recordings, graphic notes, and more on the Southside Summit website.

PPNA Channels: PPNA hosts Town Halls, Trainings, Community Conversations, and quarterly Advocacy Updates. You can see this month's schedule and get access information here. PPNA regularly posts advocacy information, meetings, events, and calls to action on our blog and Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter). We publish video recaps of our Town Halls and Community Conversations on our YouTube Channel. Finally, we send out regular advocacy updates and more via email (subscribe here).

We aim to create ways you can activate on issues you care about on a variety of platforms over an array of topics impacting our community. We hope you'll join us in 2021!
