What is St. Stephen’s?
St. Stephen’s is working to address housing instability in our community. They support individuals and families experiencing homelessness in achieving permanent, affordable housing. They execute street outreach, shelter, and housing programs.
Who do they serve?
Individuals and families experiencing homelessness
What are they doing for those they serve during the COVID-19 Pandemic?
They are ensuring safe and stable housing and shelter at St. Stephen’s.
Their two overnight shelters have temporarily expanded operating hours.
They’ve added lunch service for approximately 100 people each day, and more substantial breakfast offerings.
Their Street Outreach team has moved to seven days/week to focus on monitoring campsites, providing a public health response, and ensuring people have food and items needed to shelter safely in place.
Their housing case managers continue to work (predominantly remotely) with clients to obtain and maintain stable housing.
