Remembering May Day & Looking Forward

The Heart of the Beast Puppet & Mask Theatre (HOTB) produced the May Day Parade and Festival for decades and we're taking a moment, centered in gratitude, to remember this work and celebrate their path forward.

May Day was an iconic, inclusive, meaningful event that brought together people from all walks of life. Below you'll find a collection of photos from years past from the event.

HOTB is working on building decentralized programming that embodies the spirit of MayDay year-round. This means featuring programming throughout the year that embodies the Roots of MayDay instead of all our focus being on a parade the first Sunday in May. You can stay tuned into this work by visiting their website and subscribing to their updates.

Thank you to HOTB and all the people in and around the community who made May Day so incredibly special.
