Coming soon: a new way to request traffic calming and the new Neighborhood Traffic Calming process

Updated: Sep 20, 2022

On August 25 a new Neighborhood Traffic Calming process will be presented to the City Council's Public Works and Infrastructure Committee. The process will then be launched by September 15.

It will include a new website where community members can submit all traffic calming requests.

The new process will apply to local neighborhood streets and seeks to provide a process that is data-driven, transparent, and more equitable. Once launched, traffic calming requests can be made by November 1, 2022 to be considered for construction in 2023.

You will find details about the new process, including the streets that are eligible, an application form, an updated toolbox, information about how we rank the applications, and a timeline for the annual process here.
